This week we are reading the stories “Mole and the Baby Bird." Please practice our word wall words and spelling words at home with your child this week.   Also, in the boxes are three sentences for your child to read to you.

 

Our phonic skills this week are:  diphthong ou /ou/ like in the word "ouch" and Syllable VCV like the word "eve."

 

Word Wall Words:  door, loved, should, wood

 

Spelling Words:  mouth, house, found, our, out, cloud, ouch, shout, round, count, should, loved

 

We are still working with fractions in math.  Please continue to help your child complete their homelinks. 

 

Reminders:

*  Scholastic book orders due May 15th.  I sent home May and June's catalogs.  I need this order on time, so that you can receive your order before school lets out for the summer.

*  Study spelling and high frequency words every night.

*  Read story each night.

*  Continue to work on teach your child how to tie their shoe.  This is not part of our curriculum, but your child needs to have already learned this skill or be working on it. 

*  Please be sure to sign your child's manila homework folder each night.
